I think her only choice at this point (since she has had 3 straight profit warnings and she can't lay off French workers due to labor laws) is to turn to her contacts for help or advice. According to NewsVisual http://www.newsvisual.com/newsvisual/2007/09/alcatel-lucent-.html , she does have some impressive corporate connections.
